INTIMACY vs ROMANCE

 A lot of people limit intimacy to being sexually intimate with someonesq, but it goes beyond that. Intimacy is characterized by emotional openness between partners; it is about the real profound connection you create with your partner. It involves a consensual relationship where both parties can reciprocate feelings of trust and physical closeness. It builds with time and it's basically what binds you to your partner in a powerful way. It is more internal.

Romance on the other hand is about the gestures, compliments and gifts that may often give your partner butterflies 🦋. It is about personality and mostly what excites you. Romance is love or relationship between two people; a love affair. It is more external. Although these are important aspects in a healthy relationship, much more is needed.

Intimacy alone is not enough; romance alone is not enough but together they result to a beautiful relationship, that is love-and-intimacy.
